possibly fit it all in one post?
K and I created a 'camping box' while living in Austin. Pulling
it out from under the bed was like christmas all over again...
I can't believe how much cool stuff we have. Neither could our
friends. Two items really saved the trip: first, the fire gloves.
fire gloves rock for camping, and can save you from all kinds of burns.
Everyone laughed at first, but they all ended up using them repeatedly.
Second, were the little towel things my mom gave us...just add water and
a little cube turns into a wet towel...perfect for dipping in the ice chest
and cooling off...some guys used them literally all day long.
We also didn't go hungry on this trip...or any time really. We've had tons
of great meat to eat from Auntie S. She sent us a package from Omaha Steaks
filled with all kinds of good stuff. It has fed us, our neighbors, D&D, the camping
crew and we still have the stuffed fish to go...Thanks Auntie S!!!
A shot of the fire pit / the sun is behind the mountains and we
can come out from under the tarps area... K, R & D
Here is another pic of the rescue. Notice all the cops in their blankets (censored for PJ)?
one dude even has long sleeves...don't they know it's 107*? The desert is a tough place
to work.
Yep Suz, if we told everyone where it was we would have to share...
Interesting statistic we read about the place: 1 in 10 visitors get bit.
Good thing we only had 8!!!

I am sure you guys were happier with the snakes than the chiggers -I remember how unhappy they made you last year at this time. Oh, and that dude in the long sleeves is the helicopter dude. His jumpsuit is mostly Nomex (dosesn't burn so easy in case that bird crashes). LOVE the pics!
