sick day

Usually when i say "sick day" i'm talking about how good the surf is going to be.
Nothing is changing here today, it's going to be great.  However, this time i actually have a cold and
thankful the swell hasn't filled in yet.  Oh-man i want to feel better by Saturday! Tomorrow or Monday
will work for me too tho!

thanksgiving

Nothing says thanksgiving like the thanksgiving day football games!
Super excited that this year was the first year the Texans played a Thanksgiving day game.
I started out watching the game solo
but all my hooting and hollering seemed
to draw a crowd.  Some people watching
the game, some people watching me jump
up and down.  Thanks Refs!!!

Another big thanksgiving day game (this is a new tradition) is Texas hold em.
We must have played over 10 games!
Sad to say i lost them all, but K split the
winnings a few times!  Teaching the cousins
how to go all in....

Some people hold hands and pray before they eat.
This family discusses the important of the harvest!
How the grapes were only pretty good two years ago,
good last year, but "wicked" this year...I'll drink to that!

The dinner table!  Turkey: fried, grilled and baked.

We're thankful for a lot this year. Especially for our family and friends!
Looking forward to next year and the possibility of holding the turkey party
at our house one year soon!

Mass work trip

The other week i had to make a last minute dash out to Massachusetts for some site visits.
No aftermath of the storm visible here, only trees, trees, trees.  I'm always amazed with how
much country side there is on the east coast.

Not a bad day on the job when you get to hike through trails like this all day.

After hiking through the brush we came upon our site, i think we're going to call it ski hill solar!
In the middle of the forest was this old ski lift.  Super cool to check out but would have been even cooler
if it was working, there was snow and i managed to get a few turns in!

Boston from my room.  looks like just another city to me.

After this trip I came home, washed my cloths and packed for a thanksgiving in Arizona.
Pics from the celebration to come soon....

16 person bike?

Yesterday we were invited to join a group of friends for a 16 person b-day bike ride!  I have to admit that at first i was a little concerned we signed up for a 16 person bike.  I thought to myself...how long is this bike going to be? who's turning/steering it?  do i need to wear spandex???

Oh man was i surprised when i saw this bike!
The crew after a few hours tour of bars in NP!

It was a non-stop laughing fest while jamming to 80s-90s music and lost of "heeeey you're not peddling!"

We had soooo much fun on this thing!  Some people had peddles, some didn't and some couldn't reach the ones they had!  We biked all around town touring bars and slowing up traffic.  It was a traveling circus really, turning heads down every street!  Good times, good laughs and good friends!

Oh-yeah, btw i got a new phone and that means a new camera.  I'll do my best to keep updating this thing.
