yesterdays surf

Yesterday was huge. Can you see the dude to the right?




Check out the rock to the right. That's the usual entry/exit
point. There was a line of people waiting for the perfect gap
between sets to jump off...too bad that's the easy part...
wait until you have to jump back on...



If you time your jumps wrong, you get smashed and thrown
into a washing machine. All you can do at that point is hold on
and wait for these guys to save your ass. 12 assess saved sunday.
countless asses saved yesterday!!!

weekend update

most of our weekends end on sunday. K has to work so i usually
try to work too...although this past friday was an asskicker.
but today i have additional motivation to work...do you see the
swell height to the right??? today is big, tomorrow will be
M. F. HUGE. time to borrow the neighbor's board!

speaking of the neighbors...Dan and Chaitra (you try to spell it)
took us to mexico yesterday. DC lived in mex for a month when
they first moved to sd. they live with d's uncle on a golf course with
an ocean view. the most beautiful mex i've seen yet...i wish we had
some photographic proof but the cam ran out of batteries.


most of the hills on the drive up were covered with these yellow
flowers. dc said that these hilss are usually brown. one good
result of the recent rainfall.



what do you do when you go to mex??? eat!
we had crab, fish and fresh corn tortillas, add a table
next to the water, some waves and friends...i'm in! or out?

guess what I just bought???

Three months ago (or some amount of
time ago) I was cursing the net and read
that one of my favorite (possibly one of
OUR favorite?) bands will be in town this
March. So of course I bought tickets!!!
Then last month I found out they will be
performing again the next night....you
know I bought tickets for that show too!!!
So what could be more amazing??? Yep.
Friday. Saturday. Sunday. Now that's
what I'm talkin bout. When bands come
to the lone star state, they barley stay
long enough for one set...just long enough
to realize it's not getting any cooler after
the sun sets...
Bad Religion Rocks!!!

Oh-Shit, I just got an email stating that
Pancho made it back to the U.S. last night.
Go Pancho. Just in time to try to get Bush
on the ballot for a third time...you WT POS!

the waves have looked terrible for a couple of days now,
aaand I can't start off with so much nastyness...

this weekend...but i'm not tellin you how many strokes

What a beautiful Sunday it was. 75 - 80, sunny and the beach!
Then last night the E-side crew through a President's day bbq.
The E-side doesn't f around. They had a keg, multiple grills,
dj, and an "official" bear pong table...pretty damn funny.

Around 8 someone called the cops (PJ pay attention). The
dude came in and very quietly asked that they turn down
the music, told the direction of the complaint, shook the owner's
hand and quietly left. Wow!!! I've never been to a party in TX
where the cops...well on second thought we don't need to go there.

OK back to work...for those of us who don't get today off.

I wanted to start showing a daily picture
of the surf but the past two days have been
two of the most horrible days yet. It's funny how
in TX you need wind to have waves, and in CA if you
have any wind it makes the surf impossible. Anywho
the wind is supposed to turn around later today so
maybe I might get my wave pic yet...

OH-Yeah....we went to the Rod/Gab concert Monday night!
They Rocked the house! (Although I said it before and I'll say it
again (just not as we exit the theater!) the CO show was WAY
better)! HA! anywho it was all around a great night with
wonderful company, food and music. We all definitely have
to do that again.

whales at the zoo???

At least the newest in our families...

We spent Saturday at the SD Zoo whe Lee. Definately one

of the coolest zoos yet...it's so big we didn't even see half

of the animals, but since we are now members we can go

anytime we want! You know what you are doing if you

come visit us!

This dude was trying to chase down a peecock that was eating

his lettuce...he gave up and decided to finish the meal before

the bird could come back...

"what a rip off, these animals are sleeping!"...at least that's

what we overhead one person say...carzy! who cares when

there this cute???

Sunday we went whale watching. We were looking for the

California Gray Whale as it travels south to it's nursery in

the Baja. Gray whales weigh about 1 ton per foot! Could

you imangine weighing 1 ton per foot?????????????????

Whale watching is some pretty serious stuff...

It was a beautiful day to be out on the water...

...and we even spotted a few whales! Wow!

Sure, I'll take you surfing

I just looked over yesterdays blog...damn...there must
be at least one grammatical error per each line. O-well...

I'm 2/2 on taking my neighbors surfing and almost getting
them killed. Yesterday victim #2 tried to paddle out with
us, got slammed and paddled out at the jetty and then over
to us. As soon as he got next to me a 'set of the day' came
and showed him the hard way in...

When I took victim #1 out....ha...he ended up on top of the jetty
(at least on top of the part covered by 6 inches of water) and a
life guard had to throw him a buoy and pull him off.

if it's not in the blog...

I figured everyone had way too much of the last post
so I figured deleting it was in order. That's a lot of figuring.

We've been non-stop action since our last post, but I guess
non of that really happened.

Tomorrow nigh KimMomLee (as my cell phone says) is
coming to visit tomorrow and then EJ on Friday! Also,
Friday my rugby friend Zak (Cal Berkley rugby team) is
playing a game 3 blocks from our house. He graduates
this semester so super stoked to check that out. AND
the World 7's Rugby tournament is this weekend. Here,
in San Diego! Wow.

Back to L&E...they coming down for the weekend and then
on Monday we've got Rodrigo Y Gabriella tickets!!! Stoked
that lots of bands use San Diego as a base camp.

Maybe will bust out that camera for once...
