take it easy

the last few days have been nothing but relaxing.
about perfect really. every afternoon we've closed
our door and just hung out together. ahh the joys
of silence. today is girllys friday and our friend
ralphs sunday...everyone normals thursday...('s's's)
with the new orleans trip coming up it looks as though
we're playing poker tonight...practice time!

I don't know about youse guys but blogger spell check
does not like my slang at all

sun and sand

We spent the entire weekend at the beach, only leaving for

food and rest. We logged some serious hours of swimming/surfing

and countless hours in the sand. On Saturday we did one of

the coolest things since we moved here...snorkeled with some sharks!

super cool. We heard about these leopard sharks that come next to shore

to breed, and are relatively harmless, so we rounded up our crew and

some neighbors and went off for an underwater excursion. We saw so

many sharks, sting rays and fish...all within 30 yards of the beach...wow.

As soon as we picked em up for the port, we headed up to south beach

for a great view, food and happy hour...stoked as always

Saturday after the snorkeling we had a bbq/bday party with all

the usual crew turning up...best ribs ever???

The best weekend we've had in a while. Only regret not taking

more pictures, but hey, who wants to take the camera to the beach?

We might have to look into one of those undywater cams like PJs.

T & J will be here tomorrow...part of our nonstop guest action!
I don't know what we would do with ourselves if we didn't have
anyone here for a month? Pops is here next month and E&L the
following week? I think. Always fun to have family & friends in town...

This time we're going to spare T&J the suffering of the air mattress
(as recommended by Suzy) and let them enjoy the hard wood floors
(you've been warned!)...

all we did this weekend was play at the beach...
a little sun, sand, and surf. the water is finally warming
up so we were able to get some good swimming in.

Happy Friday! What a busy work week, glad it's almost over...
K's working overtime today...diving! I get half a day today
so we plan on hitting the sun & sand for a bit this afternoon.

I had the stitches taken out tuesday and my lip is about
back to normal. normal enough to finally kiss cutie again!

We made it to the beach almost every day for all kinds of fun.
Its so awesome that the kids enjoy just hanging at the beach.
Especially when it's just a couple o block away.

I took a couple of days off of work to play with the family.
On day 1 ehe waves were small and playful, and my surfing wasn't
all that great so I decided to discipline myself....

earth quake

We experienced our first earth quake the other day.
Didn't feel a thing from the real thing, but could feel
the swaying motion of the after shocks.

Yesterday on my lunch break we were able to squeeze
in a quick surf. The water was super clear and the sun
was shinning. K caught so many waves that I spent majority
of the time staring at the back of her head. Had some post
surf munchies at a rooftop bar/grill/venue and purchased
our tickets to the katchafire show!

Also, the Suz crew is coming...Monday! Hopefully we won't
be filming an episode of the Retta show, because you know I'll
hog the entire show...
