do you have one???

K started having withdrawals on Thursday...the sweats, no sleep,
head ache, the works...so we went bike shopping and scored big time
with the k-mart special (not to be confused with walmart, target...)!
Actually we found it on craigslist, 7 speed, fully loaded with basket, lights and
yellowness...probably only ridden once. stoked. you know we already wrote
down that serial number...

~did you know in SD you have to have a bicycle license? "...so at night we can
stop people and say 'where's your license?' then get em for all kinds of stuff
when they don't have one..." hahaha

clocks tickin

we're only just now catching up on our sleep. and it's not
that we sleep later, we just go to bed earlier. after 3 days of this
we are back to waking up before the 5am alarm schedule. which
is good because if you try to sleep past 545, the parrots will wake
you with their sweet sounds of cell phone rings they've learned.
which brings me to my point, the ob parrots rock! we were told
to watch em and they will do some funny stuff, so we have. sure enough.
one boy started dancing around and danced himself close to his girl,
and well...that's amore. some birding photos to come!

last night k's aunt diane and fam took us out to dinner. we had a
great time and it was good to meet more of the fam. after dinner
we were walking to the pier when i swear i saw a dude riding my
bike. to not make fam night crazy, i just looked on...good to know
they're still in town. c-mon buddy ride past me again!!!

bummer dude

Today started off great, and for that matter is still good.
But when we went out side for the first time today...
some P O S stole our bikes. I only hope my pedal
fell off while they were riding away (my pedal is
stripped and requires you to push it back in with your
foot while riding).

...it's only 5:30am here

Arizona Weekend

Always on the run...
This weekend we split to Arizona for a little spring training
action and a little bit of golf too. I didn't find out that I had
Friday off until Thursday afternoon, score! No hotel working
for me. The guys squeezed in two rounds of golf and one bb game,
and the girls made it to two bb games and only one round of golf.
Came home yesterday and played some golf. Surfed today.
Man I hate So Cal.

~The weekend was so damn entertaining my post gives it no
justice...it's tough to come up with anything to say when
we didn't take any pics~

Gina Weekend

"balancing the budget is like going to heaven.
Everyone wants to do it, but no one wants to
put in the work required to get there" - A. Schwarzenegger
I just heard that on the TV and thought I would share.

Gina came to visit this weekend so we had to flex a muscles
a bit...Gina, us and neighbor crew.

We stopped by seaworld for a bit.

One of the weekendly games. I think we must have played
5 games this weekend. Only stopping to shift the table over
for more direct sunlight. And, Yeah, C or K won every game
of poker we played!

We went out Saturday night for an early St. Pat.'s Day celebration.
This guy and his ipod mini radio were dancing all over the place.
Who thought waiting in line for an ATM in a dark ally could be so fun...

Gina has to be one of the best guests. The day she got
here we were finally allowed back in our house...our
bug free house. She was forced to unpack our food & spices,
clean our fridge and counters; the works. Thanks Gina!

...More pics and stories to come...

what?

The concerts were great! Friday night we were able
to sneak into the vip area and had a spot just over
the stage. One of the best views yet. Or at least best
view with no pushing, shoving or people stage diving on
top of you! We couldn't repeat our success Saturday night,
but it was another great show. So good that we sold Sunday's
tickets so we could rest for a day. What was I thinking?
3 days in a row...we're no spring breakers!

BUT We are refuges for a few days.
Our entire village looks like a circus. Each building is covered
with a clown stripped tent...without the clowns inside.
Termite elimination.

Humpday Voting

Wow, Wednesday Finally! It's Thursday for K.
Más dos días to Bad Religion! Also, Chef D invited
us to the opening night dinner at the Hilton. AND we met
a guy named Goodie on the golf course who is a sushi
chef! Free Sushi before Sundays show, K is stoked.

Yo Suz who did you vote for? Call me if you're too scared
to post it!!! The only problem we had caucusing was that
my bike chain came off 5 times on the ride there. No lines,
and they almost let me vote by thumb print!

The OB Parrots

Ever heard of the OB parrots? As I've heard it,
someone let about 5 of these parrots go about 15
years ago. Now there must be 50.
They just started coming around our house a few days
ago, but now it's like clock work. These fools post up
on the power lines at 5:45 every morning....

And they aint no song bird neither.

OB surf pic

I wish I would have taken a pic of the surf this morning when
we rode to the beach. It looked terrible.

Now look!

Fat n' Happy

Growing up on the Texas coast I was always hungry. Always
looking for that little snack to keep me tied over until the next
tropical storm, cold front or low pressure. Wave Starvation!

Salvation! I'm so fat from the surf that I don't need to think
twice about NOT going out on a day like yesterday...

Instead we played a little golf action. Golf is the next best thing
for us when we can't surf or ride. Beautiful course for only $12, Deal!

After golf we planned a dinner with DC. Then RS joined in .
Then J, M & M....and finally R. R = Ramsey from Palestine.
You know anyone named Ramsey? From Palestine?
Anywho, it was a great night with the crew.

The girls...

RS attacking my jellybellys.

The same thing happened again yesterday.
Hung in the yard, threw some bean bags
(equivalent to horse shoes) and grilled some
food.

OK Sunday is a working day...BACK TO WORK
