April Snow

We woke up Tuesday morning to this...
But we haven't had a chance to tell you what happened next...



...27 inches of snow and NO POWER!




Life with no power...for 4 days...

We gave up on the camping after this and stayed a night at
the local hotel. Shower, electricity and a hot meal!!!

On Friday we headed to Telluride and stayed with Dan. It
was beautiful and warm, so we spent the entire day Saturday
hiking. Afterwords we feed half the town with the spoils
of no electricity.

Rodrigo y Gabriela

As I said earlier...it's snowing outside, and well I
don't want to work! So I'm jammin out to Rodrigo y Gabriela
right now wishing the concert was today and not
an entire week away. In the meantime you can

Spring is in the air...

For those of you who don't know, its late April. We woke
up to about 7 inches of new snow this morning...expecting about
1 - 2 feet by tomorrow. I think I'm gonna be sick!!!

Blanca Don't Ski...do you?

This holiday weekend Blanca and Aline gave us a visit...These
two girls are our only friends to come out of Rock Port....they too
moved to a ski town, but does Blanca ski?

internet faxing

My boss only uses a fax machine to communicate. So every day
the fax machine works like crazy...which means my phone rings
like crazy...which makes me crazy...crazy dude. My solution; setup
an online fax number. Now any time he sends a fax I get an email.
I reply to the email and he gets a fax...Can I get a whop whop for technology!

Same Make, Same Model...

My big Sis owns the same truck, same model, different color
and much bigger...Sooooooo who's truck do they use when they

The pops made it up to the Colorado compound this weekend.
On Friday we had a few inches of new snow and by Sunday
we had classic spring conditions and one wore out pops...
Hahaha he actually came back and went for a walk while we
passed out. I'll post more pics from this weekend when
I get a chance...





Saturday we took a day off and walked around the lake.
Somehow we magically ended up at a winery...

We actually saw a whole crew (heard?) of these guys. Some
were sparring/headbutting...pretty damn cool.

We went to the theater this weekend and saw Pure Confidence.
I think there are only been 7 people in the entire play,
but it was great. Takes place back in the day when slavery was
still the way to go, and covers the life of the the best jockey at the
time-who happens to be black...Don't worry you won't cry...It
was even funny too.

Also, Kimberly got into a fight with the mountain this Easter.....
she is still recovering! This weekend is looking good for the mountain,
so she is getting ready round 2...

Contractor cleanup?

Today and every day for the past 3 weeks we've had to play
garbage people on our lunch break. Billy the contractor doesn't believe
in cleaning up after him self, so now he's gone but his trash is not...
two boxes of industrial garbage bags and a trip to the dump later...
WE'RE STILL NOT COMPLETELY DONE! AHHHHHHHH

Texas Hold'em

Kimberly AKA holdem champ won first place Tuesday night at the bar...
not much money, but just as good...a bar tab! Tonight we are going to collect
on our free room in Black Hawk...for those who haven't heard of BH, it's
the mini Vegas of Colorado...or something not like that. Free room half way
to the mountain = fist chair tomorrow morning!

AINT SKEERED

These little girls came up to the office window this morning.
We saw 5 of them hanging around but a couple came up next
to the house.

The Color of Water

Thursday night we got 9'' of new powder; how could we be expected
to work after that? So we spent Friday at Keystone and Breck...
Totally Awesome dude! Still no big air pics...

I finished "The Color of water"...damn good book. It's a Bio about a
black kid with a white mom. Now doesn't that sound great? Well I love
biographies and I really enjoyed this book. Look it up. Tonight I'm
starting the Anthony Kiedis' (Red hot chili Peppers) bio...
