it's all good

damn i'm stupid sometimes...
we have all kinds of fun plans these next couple
weeks. so what do i do, i go skate boarding with
my friends. due to the bad economic times
the ob skate park is free these days. count me in.
i ride my long board almost every day, but never at
the park. after about 30 minutes, i strapped on a
helmet and went to town on a regular board...immediately
remembering the ramp i used to have in the back yard...
ah, the good old days...luckily my wrist is only sprained
and my hip only bruised! stupid skateboards.
It was super funny though because my friends were telling
me to "take it easy", but i was like "i've got health insurance,
it's all good"!

Thanks EJ for taking my truck in! Super stoked that
nothing major had to be done...can't wait to drive it
up to the mountains for a test drive.

K has a HUGE family and we are always catching
up with 1 or 20 of em'! I bet we see at least 12 different
family type peoples this trip (I've been watching yogi bear
lately...that's how he talks)! It'll be nice to see one of mine
during this trip too...cousin Carly said she will meet up with
us for a day on the mountain this sunday...why watch football
if you can go riding?

Maybe if everyone does their snow dance at the same time we can
get some serious snow while we are there...lets say everyone start dancing
tomorrow at 4:30 pacific. 5:30 mountain. 6:30 central. 7:30 eastern.
You only have to dance for 3 minutes. Take a pick and email it to me
and I'll post it here for everyone to see. Don't be scared, You can do it.

Taxes S.U.C.K. suck

Did you know if you live in one state and
work in another, you still have to pay state
taxes in the state you live? I didn't.
My employer didn't either. bummer dude.
I don't mind paying taxes. I want to help out
the community, the government, even highways to
nowhere and frivolous lawsuits. I just want you
to take out the money in advance...not, oh-yeah,
by the way, you owe me 1,500 bucks. that sucks!

Sucks is my word of the day! But don't be confused, I'm
super happy and super stoked. It's beautiful out side...sunny
and warm as always. I've got a beautiful fiancee (sucks she's at work!),
and have nothing important to do today. Life is Good!

no jumping allowed

Boooooooo, we didn't get to jump out of an airplane
yesterday....it was too cloudy. The class was damn
entertaining though. I think there was 7 of us in the class
and K was the only girly that nobody believed was 30.
We were all having a good time practicing jumping out
of the plane and going through all of the drills, until we
got to the last section of our training "shit happens".
All of a sudden everyone was moving around in their
seats, asking to go back over everything we learned,
and just plain scared! Emergency situations suck.
Ditching your parachute and using you backup sucks.
Both your chutes opening at the same time sucks.
Lines getting tangled sucks. Spinning out of control
while trying to do these things sucks.
That said, we can't wait until Thursday to do our jump!!!
If we can time it right, we might jump on Friday morning
and then board a flight to Colorado Friday Night!
How cool would that be?

One of the instructors came into our class and called me out
"oh-yeah, that guy is definitely going to wait as long as possible
to pull his chute"

Oh-yeah, not getting to jump after you have that much excitement
built up sucks too! We were so wound up when we came home
that we almost started running in circles to calm our selves.

sky dive tomorrow

Time to take out that last minute life insurance policy.
Tomorrow morning we're finally going to take our skydiving class
and do solo jumps! Happy birthdays to us!!! Thanks L & E.
Can't wait for that minute free fall and then controlling the parachute....
I wonder if they will let us spin our selves around? I'm gonna
try to sneak in our new action camera, but we'll see.

Up to no good...

Damn I'm tired. We stayed up way past our bedtime.
To watch TV. Lost. Why does it have to come on so
damn late? And for 3 hours? And have me so wound
up that I can't even fall asleep for another hour?
Then up at 5 a.m...I still can't believe I'm out of bed.

Just another day in paradise! Actually we are expecting
rain tomorrow, but after all the badass weather we've had,
rain doesn't sound too bad.

Also, the count down to K's new job has begun...only 6 more working
days remaining! Then it's off to Co to get my truck and do a
little snowboarding! We get the house to ourselves for a week.
Although we would rather you be there!, it will be like a Co
vacation with just the 2 of us there....you better get a lock
on that cellar door, ha!



Yesterday I managed to surf for about an hour.
THE. BEST. SESSION. EVER. only 2 things could have made
it better; a few pictures of me getting shacked and my cutie
out there getting shacked too...The waves have been a little
to big to get much practice in.




Presidential rant...he's black, get over it. quit talking about it.
who cares. everyone thinks racism is going to vanish now...poof.
it's still here. We do however, have a bad ass president who I
hope can change this country around. enough said.

another day in paradise

We have had the most unbelievable weather the past week+.

I always hear people talking about the "green flash". Have you heard
of it? It's so popular here that there is even a beer named after it.
Well it is supposed to happen at sunset, just as the sun disappears
over the horizon. They say the sky has to be clear and the seas calm
for this phenomenon to take place. Green Flash.
Having perfect conditions the other day for this to happen, we went to
the beach to check it out. Beautiful sunset, but no green flash. If you ask
me I think these people are staring at the sun a little to closely for a
little to long. I bet if you go out side in the middle of the day, stare
at the sun for 20 minutes....Flash (green).

It was, however, an amazing sunset.


Conditions are no longer favorable for the green flash.
The waves are BIG. Which by the way reminds me...
We received the coolest video camera for x-mas. And it's waterproof!
Yesterday I strapped it to my arm and took it out in the water
for a test drive. Got some fun footage of me surfing. Actually,
the video is of my hand and my board, I'm gonna have to
work on my camera angles. Anywho, as soon as I get a chance
to edit it a little I will post it for you all to see.

This weekend was amazing. It's still amazing. Sunny & warm.
We played another round of golf, but this time I beat K by 12 strokes!
or maybe she beat me by 5, but who's counting?

The waves were a little big too so the girls didn't
get to paddle out....but they did make the surfing site!

won both...I think now that her b-day is over I'm gonna quit

Good day to be alive

Another beautiful day in Socal. Sunny and perfect.
Light offshore winds and managed to squeeze in a
morning surf. 2 months of no surf, no stretching and
no exercise (no insurance) and I could barely paddle
my board. Definitely couldn't even keep the damn thing
afloat. But it's a new year with a new insurance policy and
K&I are shopping for new boards!...just as soon as we sell
the old ones.

new year....yada, yada, yada

K gets to go diving for work today. Sounds cold, but
better then sitting at home and working on the computer...
We attempted to go diving last weekend but the weather
wouldn't cooperate. Hopefully it will cooperate for
our sky diving adventure this weekend!

On K's B-day we went to play a round of golf (believe it or not,
but I actually look like I belong on the course these days).
We panned on eating at the club house first, but noticed a sign
saying 6 wine samples for $10. 2 please. Little did we know it
would be 6 whole glasses. each. we had to take a break half way
through and play our round, which we ended up tying, then
coming back and still not finishing all of our ''samples"...

To celebrate we're going skydiving as soon as
the weather and our schedules align...which I
hope happens more often then a eclipse. In Cali
you can take a 4-6 hour class and then do a solo
jump!!!
