The flood gates are open...

OK so the gates are open for the summer.
D&D are on their way! For the weekend.
D already said they will not be here another 29
days (not that anyone was counting), but 28
isn't that cool either dude! ha ha just kidding...maybe.

Then next weekend L&E are here. More wedding
location planning! Possible house shopping too...
who knows...Diving anyone? The water temp is up
to 63, that's a whole 4 degrees warmer than last week...

Hum is that the may 2nd weekend? We might be camping the
weekend before L&E or possible a concert...Unless it's the same
weekend that they are coming...who knows?

Then we have a week off before my buddies N&T are here!
Party time, excellent!

Next my momma is scheduled to visit in June.

My Pops is trying to schedule a date with us too.

Then my big sis will be in the neighborhood in July...
we will see if we can catch up then...

The ALL concert is in July too.

First dives & penetration

Yesterday we went scuba diving! My first 2 official
dives since I became certified. We dove at ship wreck
alley on the Yukon and the Rudy E (both about 80 ft - 100 ft)...
stoked for my first dives. the water was super warm!
So warm we had on 7mm wetsuits, booties, gloves and hoods...
Lucky for me a I had my rescue, scientific cutie diver to show me
the ropes. We even got a little penetration action! Super crazy
swimming into a sunken ship...just stoked to have my buoyancy down.

The batteries died on the boat, plus we left an hour late...
so our three hour tour turned into about 6. The dive
company had hot soup and coco for us in between dives
(how cool is that). Um I was voted the best beginner dive
they had all day! All year? ever? Yeah I'm that good!..
I'm that good thanks to all of K's help!

We saw lots of cool stuff but didn't take the camera down...
next time.

these are the requirments I didn't have but needed for these dives:

HMCS Yukon:
A 366' Canadian Destroyer Escort, lies in 100 feet of water at a 90 degree angle Port side down. Extensive preparation allows complete penetration of the ship. A detailed mapping system is available through DCI. Sunk: July 2000.
Skill: Advanced10+ Cold Water Dives


Ruby E:
A 165' Coast Guard Cutter lies upright in 85' of water. Completely blanketed with strawberry anemones, the ship appears to be a float in a parade. Easy access for penetration. Sunk: July 1989

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

One of K's coolest co-workers is gay (not that there's anything
wrong with that (I love that Seinfeld episode)).
Anywho, for the past few weeks she has tried to get us to go to
this drag show that they go to EVERY Wednesday.
Well yesterday was the day that we finally went....
holy shit. it was crazy. but it was fun and funny too.
One of the girls in the crew had to point out that she knew
I wasn't gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).
I just must have looked that uncomfortable..
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

come one Friday! I'm ready to sleep in this weekend!
No early phone calls please... No parrots or airplanes
either. Did I say please?

OK enough slacking....back to work!

Obama Dog

Can the media spend any more time talking about
the Obama's new dog? Holy crap...it was old after
day one...let alone two months of what kind? when?
from where? I don't watch fox news but I wouldn't
be surprised if they are talking about the color of the dog!
Spend that money and time on the economy.

At the BBQ M made some bomb-ass strawberry shortcake...
TONS of fresh strawberries! Fresh whipping cream! It came
down girl.

I didn't mean to give you a public shaming...just trying to be
funny and entertain myself (easily accomplished).
Can't wait to see you again! Hopefully you get that rad hotel
with the ocean view too...

finaly an update

Happy Easter....2 days later! You know that means we've been
super duper busy.

So R left us last tuesday. E came to visit us on Wednesday,
and took us to the fanciest restaurant in OB (we only went because
we had a buy 1 get 1 coupon). "do you want sparkling water, or
bottled water...?" pause. "or do you want san diego tap water?"
"tap please!"

Then my college buddy N.E. came to visit on Thursday and stayed until
Monday...........WOW............................................Party time excellent.


Me and my boy...He grew his hair out and I cut all mine off!
What a hippy. I have grown out my sideburns though!




Friday we played a round a golf (or half round (whatever)).
Both N & K kicked my ass, so when they weren't looking I
tried to hit them from behind.



Saturday night we went to the Padres/Giants game.
the padres stadium started these "all you can eat seats".
WOW. For six bucks more we each ate $30 work of crap.
All you can eat hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, ice creams, cokes...
oh-my! The base ball crew.



Sunday's BBQ. Had the entire crew over. Super fun.
M thought it would be a good idea to put all of the tops
of the strawberries down the sink...thanks girl. You have
no idea how long it took me to clean that damn clog!

Just found out that Mr. R's flight is CANCELED.
Too damn snowy in NY for crappy Jet Blue.
Flight rescheduled for tomorrow...
We now get one day alone before the next round
of visitors gets here...yeah!

the great exscape

Another chill weekend...well sort of...
As chill as it can be when you have a friend
staying on the couch. For a week+. But, today is
the last day and who knows when the next time
we'll see this guy again...good by R.

Speaking of good bys...Saturday we played some
neighborhood poker (which I was dominating by the way)
but we had to make it to a going away party for one of
K's co-workers...we left the game early. And we left R
in charge. The only instructions: Keep the door closed!
When we came home, c-low was no where to be found.
Front door open. really dude? You couldn't keep the door closed?

We looked up high,
we looked down low,
he wouldn't even come and eat some cilantro...

Sunday came and still no lizard. bummer dude.
Later in the afternoon R was talking out the recycling when
one of the neighbors in the ally asked "you guys missing an iguana?"
Sure enough c-low was walking up the side of this dude's house.
Reunited at last! Thanks R!...




In the history of the Muir street compound we have never had
anyone or the friend of anyone leave with fewer friends then when
they got here...but it happened this sunday during the poker game.
Our neighbor C keeps renting her room out to people for a month at
a time....the current girl living there had her a-hole boyfriend from NY
in town for a week. People from NY really are...well you get the point.
(I better cover my butt here...M you are not negative! We can't wait to
see you this weekend!!! You are the exception to the rule...OK I'm safe!)
But he was the first negative person allowed in the compound and he
better be the last!
